Hi, I am new to scriptlance and this forum, I have done some small projects OK on scriptlance but now encounter a dispute on one of the projects. I am quite frustrate with the speed of processing and the limit impose on my feedback 100 characters.
SL staff ask me to post point by point of which bit was not done on an projects, naively I posted 2 points on 1 message, 2 points on another message and realise that's it I can only post 3 messages since I posted a request if the coder could do the same in public so I can also verify. I have more to list but now need to wait for someone to response first. Anyone with any disputed case can share some experience? please. I thought I will go through scriptlance jurisdiction with this case, but it seems it is testing me with patience and how much time and escrow money I am willing to loose. Very disappointing for the moment? Any advice anyone? please. |

Thanks OxyK,
I had some projects which went really well with many coders, so when I was asked for a deposit, I deposited 100% escrow, and got my money locked in when the project went into a dispute. It is now nearly 3 months. Since I am very new to out sourcing, I wanted to test different options For this particular project, my first attempt was with a company in India using oDesk, I accepted their bid of 130$, they then engaged me and asked for agreement of $1,200 before they start the project, so that was unethical. ODesk asked me for evidence and after so much time and effort finally they accepted my claim but saying it was the other party first time of doing the wrong thing ![]() I then took the project to scriptlance, iamlancer from India quoted me $180 and asked for some deposit (he didn't say how much). I did have some positive experience with SL so I went ahead and escrow the full amount $180. He asked for more money for design, I refused but went out and buy a template. Then come dispute of quality of service, the project was dragging on and on with no delivery. iamlancer would not release the fund despite I offered $30 for compensation of his time (no project for me) ![]() I then took the project to rentacoder, they have an expert guaranteed option. I accepted the bid of $150 fully escrow. The coder from Bangladesh made a guaranteed of delivery and quality of services within a time line (you can request %) in my case it was 10%. The project is now completed ![]() Good news, the coder from SL iamlaner has release the escrow, all refunded. Must have been some pressure from SL. So all is resolved for me now and thanks for lending an ear
