Lightbulb What do you think about this ?

I have noticed many many times over Service Providers have posted projects on Scriptlance requesting work on there websites or clones of other sites, etc that are "Adult Related Websites" with full on "Graphic Content containing Nudity".

I know very well for a fact that many Programmers here are greatly offended by such material be it for "Religious or Personal" reasons.

The reason I bring this up is that on many projects, I have noticed that Buyers "DO NOT" mention anything about "Nude or Pornographic" content material.

Usually a link to the reference site is posted on the project description which leads to the site with such types of "Raw Nudity and Graphic Content". This would catch many unsuspecting programmers by surprise and especially the programmers that are offended by these types of Adult Related Websites.

I would think it would be a good idea to mention somewhere on the "Post a Project" that if the project involves Adult Material, please add a statement to the Project Description so all Programmers are aware of it.

Or even better yet! A simple "checkbox" to acknowledge that the Project is related to "Adult Content" and this would appear clearly on the project itself so Programmers are instantly aware.

What do you all think about this suggestion ?

Thank you!

I think it is a good idea. While I am not offended by the subject matter, I would be very angry if the Buyer did not mention their project involved adult content, and I opened the link in front of my family.

Default Yes, I do agree in this point. Think itīs a good step forward.

Yes, sure. Iīm agree with that. It would be a good idea, if thereīs some icon, or signal that suggests that the project is/or contains Adult Related Material.
I think itīs important for the programmer to know that the particular project is adult oriented.
For example, as the previous programmer mentioned, it would be a shame if someone opens the project in front of his/her little son or family and this explicit images suddenly appear.
So, I think this is a good point, and can be implemented for the better of the community.

Nice to see some positive replies to this suggestion. Maybe Rene might consider some sort of implementation if many people support this. After all it's a good thing

Second that!
I'm the kind of persons who doesn't like to open that kind of garbage porn sites, and really like the idea that projects of that kind, should have an icon showing that has explicit material...

Nice to know you second this good idea Charlie! I'm just surprised not many members have participated in this topic or voted. I would have thought it was a good suggestion and people would have been interested to state there views.

Maybe not many members contributing in the forums these days

Not many people participate because there is only so much you can say with a canned generic response

I'm sorry, was that catty??

I wish more people would participate.

Finally Andor appeared......
Ayumi said about Adult material, often that kind of material is obscene and degrading. I thinks that's the point.
And another issue, is that kind of sites have spywares, trojans etc...if you access them, do so at your own risk.

Default Yeah

Buyer should notify, since everyone won't be comfortable with it.

yes, they should, but we as webmaster/webdevelopers, all day on web, we should be protected all time.

if we didnt encountered any malicious sites, then we all are newbies

@charlie, this forum isn't so nice anymore...since the updates, posts/threads get deleted all the time by moderators...so why bother writing?!

Default agree

good call. I don't mind to open infected site (i'm on linux and my data is password protected), but i do mind to open adult related content if i'm not aware of it.
Such projects should be marked accordingly and placed in separate category for porn addicts

In fact nude sites use most progressive software, cause of overload & uniques count.

xxxsites , - is maybe one place where beginners can check there skills to make high loaded scripts.

PS. My wife dont like this type of jobs. Am sure

I don't do work like that but I don't think there would be any problem with a selection that would state if the project had adult content. Nice suggestion.

I also think so. As SL is using now tag based keywords. So, we can suggest that and Buyer may add when posting such projects. Regards
