Exclamation Be aware of this programmer

Hi all. I'm a buyer who selected a bid of a programmer called Nimesh Dani, his company is called Net infinity. Infact, infinity was a good name to select for a programmer who rips off buyers by stretching the project on and on forever and runs away with the money without delivering any work!!!

Please be aware of him! My sincere advice is NOT to deal with this crook at all.

I paid him thru Paypal - Please buyers, use escrow!! Programmers do not need advanced payments. I would never ask for an advance payment, I only ask for the money to be deposited in escrow at the start of the project, and then released once the project has been successfully completed.

If they keep asking for extra time and you haven't seen any work, then it's probably best just to cancel the project.

If work hasn't been done - DO NOT give them money.

Escrow will solve 90% of the problems for both programmers and buyers. I say 90% because there will still be 10% of people who will defraud the escrow systems :-)

Unfortunately with no identity check here, it is very easy for someone to create an account under the name "Bill Gates" and pretend to be the CEO of Microsoft.

I hope you get your money back. Open a dispute with Paypal and put "Item not delivered". However, if they respond back saying its a virtual item, the dispute will close in favour of the seller!

I don't want to be rude with you but in this case you have 100% of the Fault. Why? Because you don't use escrow...

I don't know why the buyers don't want to use escrow, and I'm talking about generally all the buyers that don't want to use escrow not specifically you.

How can you defraud an escrow? Aren't your money stuck in it? Why would you place money in escrow if you don't intend on releasing it?

I have this customer who I worked for few months (I repeat, MONTHS) ago. It was a 2-3 week project, modifying two templates of a chat system. He placed the money in escrow (some time after I started working) and after the work has been done, I sent him the files. But no escrow release. I am sending him weekly emails requesting him to release the escrow, but he keeps on replying that he will release it SOON.

So I am asking you, how in God's name will I make him release the escrow?

Thanks

@chris69m: You really have to use escrow...you get that notice all the time...whether it is when your project closes or when you are given a checklist after you have selected a programmer. So better luck next time and I hope you find someone good to actually complete your work.

BTW, if a programmer is not competent, you have all the rights to be mad at him...but why bring in his/her nationality into it...?

I said 90% safe, because scriptlance does not have a full proof system to prevent fraudulent buyers funding the escrow. If they fund using a stolen credit card, sooner or later the real credit card owner will chase scriptlance down and get his money back. At that point, Scriptlance will simply cancel the escrow and you can kiss your money Bye Bye!

Be aware of the buyer bigthougths. I had this PSD to HTML slicing project done for him. I've done it in 6 hours. 6 PSDs. After a while he came back to me asking me to make few changes and he said he would pay me 10$ to do it. Everything went well until I placed a demo on my server for him to see the work. He stopped responding on YMS, scriptlance's mail and everything and I looked on his server. I saw he copied my source code and embedded it into his application. Now isn't he something? I promised myself I would go wherever I shall go with this case and let everyone know what kind of person he is, so, a personal advice. Don't ever take projects from bigthoughts!

www.kwebservices.com is his website where he has a stolen Joomla template from Joomlart (who the hell creates his webdesign company's site on a Joomla system and who the hell uses a template that may be used on other sites too?). I've notified Joomlart about the abusive use of this template and they confirmed he doesn't posses a license to use it so he will have to face the consequences.

Best regards all

Well I checked http://www.scriptlance.com/projects/1265515738.shtml and if you offering $100 for a site like that you got to get bad coders / companies to deal with as a free gift with the project.

I would inform his web host he is using stolen content and ask them to remove it.

Thumbs up Great stuff at Scriptlance

This is what I love about Scriptlance!

They are always looking at ways where all parties can save on fees, especially the freelancers.

While other sites try to screw and nickel and dime you from what you earn, at least here on Scriptlance you can save a lot of money in regards to fees.

This is one of the things that sets Scriptlance apart from the rest.
Another thing I really like about Scriptlance is ideas like Project Tags, Blacklisting, Favorites, etc are very unique and innovative.

Simple but very useful features that sets them apart from the rest!

Yep was my bad, not a system glitch, I had too much sake the other day and posted on the wrong forum. Lol

Was supposed to be in the Announcements, you know that Credits feature they just introduced for programmers.

Anyways this board looks quite heated, a bit of stupidness on my part may help cool things down a bit.

hehe
